• The symmetrically arranged links with spikes ensure even pressure distribution on both sides of the collar.
• The integrated connecting chain prevents the collar from tightening excessively, which can happen with an incorrectly fitted choke chain.
• The links can easily be removed or added to allow the collar to be adjusted to fit the size of the neck.

Sprenger products made of chrome-plated steel have a special feature: the shiny surface of the links. This is achieved through a multi-stage process involving degreasing and chemically preparing the raw material, ensuring an even distribution of nickel and chrome across the wire's surface. This technology provides long-lasting corrosion protection. The quality of the nickel plating is checked as soon as the technological process is complete. The rings are tested for bending. If the coating does not crack or flake off, the entire batch proceeds to the next stage of the process: chrome plating. Careful preparation and multi-stage control guarantee the high quality of the chrome plating, providing double corrosion protection in combination with the previous nickel plating process. Despite the high quality of the metal coating, it can still be damaged by external mechanical forces. For this reason, the manufacturer cannot provide a 100% corrosion guarantee for products with different surface coatings, except for those made of stainless steel.

Burnished steel elements have a dark, matt surface. The quality of the coating is checked immediately after the technological process ends; the rings are tested for bending. If the coating does not crack or peel off, the entire series of products is sent to the next stage in the production process. Careful preparation and multi-stage quality control ensure high-quality coatings and protection against corrosion.

Professional dog trainers and athletes choose Sprenger's stainless steel products because of the many advantages they offer. Although these products are more expensive than chrome-plated steel, they are stronger and more reliable. These chains offer excellent value for money.

The new series of innovative black stainless steel products is based on the well-known stainless steel series. One notable feature of the new series is the technological coating process, whereby the black colour penetrates the material itself rather than being merely an outer layer. This reduces wear and tear, preserving the product's appearance during use. However, if a chain is used, the colour will gradually fade and change to an 'antique' colour. The material's quality remains impeccable even when the colour changes. Due to the manufacturing process, the colour intensity may vary slightly between batches.

Curogan is a nickel-free, non-corrosive copper-zinc alloy. It is an alternative for dogs whose fur is stained by conventional materials. Following extensive testing, it can be concluded that the problem with wool is resolved in 95% of cases. Curogan chains are becoming increasingly popular, not only because of their elegant appearance, but also because of their anti-allergenic properties. The high copper content of the alloy gives the material a rich colour that may darken slightly with use. However, the original colour can be restored using a commercially available polishing paste. Please note that Curogan products are more susceptible to wear than standard materials due to their physical and mechanical properties.
